In the beginning there was nothing.

But nothing does not facilitate you making phone calls. So I am going to document my journey of creating a secure trixbox from the void. I have several installations of trixbox under my belt, but I have never built trixbox completely from scratch.

I have chosen to use trixbox as my base asterisk PBX because I have never been successful with the other versions. I am documenting my project on this blog with the hope that it will help someone else out there. I used the Internet extensively to get started so now I am returning the help but publishing what I have learned.

This blog is meant to be a learning tool for me. I seem to comprehend things better if I write them down. It will probably be boring to most starting out. Please feel free to make comments if you want to help me on my journey to a complete trixbox running on a cloud.
